Walk Softly (there's no need to carry a big stick)

In a world where the haters seem to be shouting the loudest, please be kind. Be kind to your fellow humans. Be kind to animals. Be kind to our beautiful planet. Be kind to yourself.

Empathy and compassion seem to be in short supply right now, so let’s do whatever we can to make them part of our lives every single day. Light always dispels the darkness.

So today I asked myself  - Am I as kind as I could be?

Am I making a difference? Is the world a better place because I am in it?

On reflection I realised I have the opportunity to use my words and images to reach out to others in a meaningful way. Can I then also use them to fill people up with beauty instead of ugliness, peace instead of anger and awe instead of hopelessness? Can I inspire someone to be the best they can be? Can I make you smile … or think?

I can try.

Of course I would love it if my fledgling business became profitable, who wouldn’t? But what if I can also use those gifts, which are unique to me, to foster kindness, gentleness, respect, generosity, acceptance and courage.

Ah … what then.

My name is Louise Eddy - welcome to my blog.
